A desktop licence, enables a font to be installed upon a computer. This then can be utilised in DTP software. This licence is measured on the number of users who have the font installed. Our desktop license includes and allows logo-usage in rasterised environments.

A web licence (or self-hosting web licence) enables the font to be utilised in live text on a website, by uploading the typeface to a web server and referencing it via @font-face. This licence is measured on the number of page views per month a website receives.

An app licence enables the font to be loaded into an app (either desktop application, iOS, Android or similar platform). This licence is measured on the number of downloads that the application is expected to receive.

A broadcasting licence enables the font to be utilised in media on TV and Cinema (please note that online broadcasting platforms, such as YouTube and Vimeo are included in the Desktop License), and on screens in public screen-based environments. The licence is measured on the continents that the media will be broadcast to.

For larger organisations we offer an enterprise licence, that enables unlimited usage across all touch points and mediums. This license is aimed at organisations with above 1000 users and high web page views over multiple websites. It also allows usage by third parties supplier on brand projects. Please contact us for further details.

This license enables unlimited usage on digital mediums only (web, app and digital broadcast), but does NOT include desktop usage or third party supplier usage. Aimed specifically at larger digital organisations that have multiple websites with high web page views but limited desktop usage or requirements.

A production server license enables a font to be installed on a production server that creates content, such as PDF files through an automated process. This license is measured on the servers the font will be utilised on.

When you request and download trials from the Account page, you automatically fall under our trial license. This license allows for the testing of our font software in varying mediums, but must be upgraded when the work is outside of a testing remit — therefore meaning when the software is not being evaluated further but used and applied to a project.
